ART GALLERY INFORMATION & ART SHOW RULES

The Art Gallery is a great place to showcase your artwork.

Gallery Hours:

• Friday 1:00 – 6:00pm
• Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm
• Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm

Any anime, manga or Japanese inspired artwork is welcome in the Art Gallery; 2D and 3D pieces of fan art or original works will be placed on display. Please no graphic violence or nudity; no copies/tracings of other artists work.

AFO reserves the right to decline submission of any piece.

Submissions will be accepted Friday from 1:00-4:00pm and Saturday 10:00am-1:00pm. Artists will be provided with a registration card for each work entered to the exhibit.

• You must have a valid AFO 3-day badge or single day wristband in order to register your art work.
• Works must be inspired by anime, manga or Japanese culture.
• There is no charge to display your work.
• All art submitted to the show will be entered in the contest.
• Artists will be provided with 4 square feet of display space (approximately 2 ft. x 2 ft).  Please note that space is limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis, so register early.

There will be several categories and a variety of criteria by which the art will be judged. Specifics will be posted closer to AFO.  Judges will also be announced closer to the event.

Because of our display method we prefer 2D artwork be presented unframed if possible, but it is advised in order to protect your work that you created a temporary mounting with cardboard or foam core and acetate or plastic wrap.

AFO is not responsible for any art that is damaged or stolen, although rest assured we will be watching the room at all times.

Artwork will NOT be sold or auctioned in the gallery, but participating artists are welcome to leave business cards or fliers so they can be contacted by interested viewers.

All work should be picked up on Sunday between 2:00-4:00 pm. Make sure to bring a valid ID to pick up your art!

Any work not claimed by 4:00pm on Sunday will become the property of AFO.
