A prolific voiceover artist, Jessica Straus has dozens of credits to her name. While she has done voice work for animation, toys, educational projects and commercials, the majority of her most recognizable work is in anime and game titles.
Among her anime credits many may recognize her as Deunan Knute in Masamuni Shirow’s Appleseed CGI reboot from 2005. In the anime Monster, you can hear her as Milo, the innocent and abused little orphan boy, in addition to other voices in that series. She also reprised her role of Gidget for the Eureka Seven movie and the voices of the child-bride Empress and Xiang-lin, both in Code Geass R2.
Some of Jessica’s game credits include the recently released Capcom title, Super Street Fighter IV, where she plays Juri Han, the sexy new badass with the red-devil eyes. She is also the voice of Slipstream, a female Seeker in Transformers: War for Cybertron.
Other gaming credits include Pi in the .hack//G.U. series; voices of several evil female characters for THQ’s new game Darksiders and also a female Allied Commander in their Red Faction games series, Red Faction: Guerilla.
Additionally, she provides the voice of the female lead, Lori Machete in the Vogster Entertainment title Unbound Saga and on Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love from NIS/America she voices Cherry. But the most unique character she has done so far for games is in the Square Enix title Nier where she voices a child-turned monster who just growls.
