All play in the Video Game Arcade is free for registered members of Anime Festival Orlando 11!

At Anime Festival Orlando, we have an exciting Video Game Arcade that features fun and competitive gaming of all kinds for the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft XBox360, Sony Playstation 3, and more!

We have video game tournaments throughout the weekend with plenty of casual play to go around! All forms of play in the Video Game Arcade are free to registered attendees of Anime Festival Orlando 11!

This Year’s Featured Video Game Finals Showcased in the Game Show Theatre and brought to you by Your Hosts… MegaBuck, Dr. Duke Rosen, and Special Guest Hosts!

Tournament Rounds prior to Semi-Finals will still be hosted in the Video Game Arcade, but then Semi-Finalists will move on to the Game Show Theatre where they will prove themselves in front of an Audience of Hundreds of Spectators!

We have several big fighting game tournaments for all of you to enjoy! Entry into all video game tournaments at Anime Festival Orlando are free. Sign-ups are held in the Video Game Arcade.

Rules for Tournaments are As Follows!
 

These Rules Apply to Super Street Fighter IV and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift!

 
• Top 8 Players will Move on to the Game Show Theatre Finals Matches
• Semi-Finals and Finals 2/3 Rounds and 2/3 Games, Single Elimination, 99 Seconds
• Players are allowed to Bring in their own controller and/or Fighting Stick for Finals Matches (But Remember, if it’s your Controller, you are responsible if it fails or doesn’t perform, you may only ask for a change between matches NOT DURING!).
• Either Player will be allowed to Request Double Blind Selection and must ask so from an Official
• The Player who won the Previous Game must Keep their Character, opposing Player may switch characters.
 

Super Street Fighter IV Specific Ruleset

 
• Double Blind Selection Includes ULTRAS as well
• Winner must keep the same character and can select a new ultra in game 2 or 3, but has to pick the ultra before the opponent picks theirs. This does not apply to blind pick. (Based on EVO 2010 rules.)
 

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Specific Ruleset

 
• Top 8 Will Advance to the Game Show Theatre Finals
• Wavebird Controllers will be provided for Super Smash Bros. Brawl
• Semi-Finals Matches will be 4 Player FFA, 5 Stock, 15 Minute Time Limit
• Finals Match will be 1 on 1, 3 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit. Best 2/3 Rounds
• Stages will be set to Random and Only the Following will be available to play

    o Battlefield
    o Final Destination
    o Smashville
    o Yoshi’s Island
    o Pokemon Stadium (Melee)

• Items are set to OFF
• If time runs out, the winner is determined by stock, and then by percent.
• Either Player will be allowed to Request Double Blind Selection and must ask so from an Official,
• In Finals play, The Player who won the Previous Game must Keep their Character, opposing Player may switch
• Meta Knight’s Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned.
• If a game ends with Bowser or Ganondorf using a Sacrificial KO (with Flying Slam or Flame Choke respectively) and the game is tied, then any Sudden Death is ignored and the Bowser or Ganondorf player is declared the winner.
• Stalling is banned. (Stalling is defined as any action that deliberately avoids all conflict as to make the game unplayable. Running from an opponent to get to a better position is not considered stalling, but using chain grabs infinitely against a wall (excessively beyond around 300%) or using Sonic’s Neutral B repeatedly underneath the stage is.)
 
Tournament Personnel Reserve the right to Remove any players for any Form of Misconduct covered in the AFO Security Guidelines!
