Wyldes of Orlandia is this year’s Interactive Convention Experience. It takes place 100 years after last year’s story. The radiation of the destructive blast created by the God’s Eye satellite has miraculously diminished to safe levels, The growth of the enchanting Wyldewood seems to have done more than survive the destruction, and has in fact spread throughout Orlandia over the decades. Along with the rampant growth, new, fascinating creatures have emerged and evolved. Are they mutations, magical beasts indigenous to the Wyldewood, or curious products of magic mixed with radiation? The time has come to explore the territories and find out!
Two organizations have risen to the challenge of discovery in Orlandia. NuHelix, a foreign mega-corporation, seeks to unlock the genetic mysteries hidden within the cells of these intriguing specimens, and exploit their strange properties for profit. Meanwhile, survivors of the earlier devastation have banded together to form the Wyldewood Preservation Society, determined to protect Orlandia and its wildlife. Both groups are out to find these amazing animals, and you can help!
The story is emulated in a collectible card game. By participating in convention events at this year’s AFO, players may collect creature cards. The beasts have the elemental attributes of fire, nature or water, which can be played against one another in rock-scissors-paper fashion.
The valuable mineral khazradanium is scattered throughout Orlandia. The gems are used as currency in Orlandia. Both organizations are attempting to amass these gems in order to establish economic control of the six regions of Orlandia, each hoping to rebuild the city-state to serve their respective agendas. Players with be able to earn the gems and turn them in for their organizations.
