As we have from the beginning of the pandemic, we are actively monitoring the situation with COVID-19. Our top priority for the convention is the safety of our attendees, volunteers, staff, and guests.
Anime Festival Orlando will be taking place in Orange County, FL., which does not currently have a mask mandate. However, based on recent COVID-19 numbers in our area, our attendees must wear masks when inside of event rooms where a badge or wristband is required, such as panel rooms, the dealer room, game rooms and other event spaces. Masks are also encouraged when walking around the hallways between events. If you are unvaccinated, we do ask that you wear a mask at all times to protect yourself and others around you.
You must wear a mask at all times when in the guest signing area and during any guest meet and greets. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
The Wyndham Orlando Resort will be conducting frequent cleaning procedures and providing several hand sanitizer stations throughout the resort and conference spaces. You are encouraged to use these, as well as washing your hands frequently, especially after touching things. Please try to maintain a safe distance between yourself and others when possible.
If you’re not feeling well or if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay at home. Keep in mind that going to a public venue like the Wyndham Orlando Resort does give you an inherent risk of contracting COVID-19.
Each attendee must confirm the following before attending:
You are not feeling sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms such as fever and/or
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
You have not been in contact with someone with known or suspected COVID-19 symptoms
You are not under any self-quarantine orders
If you cannot confirm all of the above, you must refrain from visiting. For more information, please visit the CDC’s page on COVID-19 prevention here.
This is our policy at this time. However, we reserve the right to change our safety policies depending on the situation with COVID-19 closer to the time of the event.
